In the 1950’s, a woman nicknamed “Bundy” came upon indigenous artisans in Mexico crafting the most beautiful, natural fabric by hand on small looms. While beautiful, their small hand looms could only produce 12-inch fabric. This meant their product could only be used for small items - limiting their business opportunities.
From there, Bundy found and refurbished an old mill to process their natural grown cotton, equipped these artisans with much bigger hand looms, and helped them sell their hand-woven fabric for new uses. To complement the natural cotton color cap, we paired it with a nutmeg organic cotton brim - making this hat’s fabric 100% organic and eco-friendly.
Since Bundy passed two years ago, operations have slowed. This is the last of the natural grown cotton fabric, making this hat truly one-of-a-kind.
